Ponzol Custom Soprano Saxophone Mouthpiece
The Ponzol Custom Soprano is a Delrin version of the Ponzol Stainless Steel Soprano, designed for players looking for a bright, powerful soprano sound with excellent projection, depth and tonal complexity. Its moderately high step baffle and fairly large chamber provide plenty of presence while maintaining body and character throughout the range of the instrument.
Precision machined from Delrin and individually hand faced, the Custom Soprano offers excellent response and a focused, projecting sound. The Delrin construction adds warmth and complexity while retaining the power and presence of the Stainless- Steel Soprano design.
Its slim, streamlined profile provides the familiar feel of a metal mouthpiece while offering many of the playing and temperature characteristics associated with hard rubber.

Choosing a Size

- .060 – More responsive and free-blowing, with easy articulation and control.
- .065 – Most Popular – Our most popular choice, offering an excellent balance of response, flexibility and resistance.
- .070 – A more open setup for players who prefer additional resistance and greater room to shape the sound.
- .075 – The most open option, suited to players comfortable with larger soprano tip openings and a more resistant setup.
Not sure which size to choose? The .065 is our most popular tip opening and a great starting point for many players.
Why Delrin?
Delrin is a precision engineering material with excellent stability, durability and machining characteristics. For a saxophone mouthpiece, it provides a comfortable feel and playing characteristics similar to hard rubber while allowing for an exceptionally precise, consistent design.
Compared with the Ponzol Stainless Steel Soprano, the Delrin Custom shares the same fairly large chamber and moderately high step baffle design, while the Delrin construction adds warmth and tonal complexity. It retains the power, projection and response of the Stainless Steel design in a lightweight, comfortable mouthpiece with a feel similar to a metal mouthpiece.
